porcelin toilets

we have a porcelin toilet in the rv....the little holes around the edge to let the water in get black and yucky...i clean it but it comes back...what is it and how to i keep it from coming back?

We replaced ours a couple of years ago and the old one did the same. Kinda like it was mold. Maybe it was the az water as it is not good.

We have a porcelain and have never had that problem. Has to be something bad in your water. They make special filters, as well as water softeners. I would look for something clean up that water.

I periodically clean out the holes with pipe cleaners.

Its probably chemicals in your water. Cleaning is about all you can do.
