No problem in sleeping on the bed with the slide in (bed is in the slide). Ours is setup that way too. We chose our floor plan because we can access the kitchen, shower, toilet, and sleep on the bed with all the slides in. For us this was a must since we often pull in at truck stops en route and putting our slides out isn't advisable in that type of situation.
You also mentioned it has its own generator, so just make sure that your vents aren't covered too, with the slides in. Even so, for a short period, it shouldn't be an issue.
