Real dark paneling...

I went with some friends yesterday to look at a new camper for them......OMG the ones we looked at had paneling so dark that the lights would have to be turned on the daylight. Just to see to read the newspaper. Plus the lack of windows......Why do builders do that ? It was like being in a cave....

The big thing I feel with the dark wood is that it makes the interior of the unit seem smaller. I've looked at same size units one dark wood and the other light wood and the light wood seemed so much bigger inside.

I don't like the current tend towards dark wood work either. It's dark enough around here and most of the time we're camped under trees. We need all the brightness we can get.
