Removing Fuzion sliding rear patio doors ...

Looking at a Fuzion 420. It has the rear sliding patio door option and makes the rear opening only about 74in wide which will certainly be too narrow with the new Can Am X3 RS I am getting with my sand tires on and don't want to mess with changing tires, etc.

Anyways, has anyone removed these doors? Just want to confirm its fairly easy. Its ok if its more of a permanent removal but obviously would be nice to have option to put them back on fairly easily. I will go take a look but not sure I will actually be able to remove them at the dealership so just want to make sure don't overlook something. Thanks!

If you look closely at rear door area will see I still have the three season door frame installed as well as the patio attachment bar. I have since removed these which does give a few more inches clearance at rear door but not really an issue so main point was so I could sell those kits to someone who could use them.

That number is the inside width of a wide body toy hauler walls that it will fit in. So even the gate frame is a little narrower than that. Definately needed to be removed.

I have them for sale on Craigslist Phoenix now as well as the patio rail kit if anyone interested.

Lippert says the doors open to 95.75 inches wide. Your toy is wider than that? I demo'd one and I recall there were a couple of pins to pull that would open the door full width. I'd look at it again before getting rid of it.

Its funny they call them all season doors when the tailgates not all season. I know they put them on a lot of haulers but I prefer just the pull down screen as I wouldn't want the ramp door down in wet weather anyway. As for taking them out is it possible to raise up and out on the bottom as done with a house sliding door?

Yes, it is the three seasons patio doors. I will pull the frame at some point too so can sell as did preserve them but good to know there is demand. Have the Lippert rails/stairs to also to sell. This makes more sense for me as the 420 also has a side patio so I really don't need both.

I bet you have no trouble at all selling both the doors and the patio rails. Folks are always wanting to add them after the sale....

Purchased so thought would follow up. They are easy to remove in that just a few screws each. Removing them adds even more width than I thought as the hinged side is connected to some framing that slides out of the framing installed into the walls. I would also recommend inspecting or removing the upper roof aluminum frame piece as mine fell during transport! Luckily somehow did not hit new X3. I think its limited hardware they expected to somewhat be supported by the doors being installed or perhaps mine was just poorly installed.

You will likely want to remove the patio rails also as they just get in the way and also just a few screws/bolts and added bonus of getting rid of a good amount of weight. If do this also remove the latching mechanisms attached to the door so don't cut any tires as sharp edges. Can still use as rear patio with just the cable strap as they are separate. No issue at all loading my X3 XRS with very wide wheels/tires. Actually its a bigger issue on length than width now but still fits just fine just barely on edge of dovetail.
