RV size comparison

A bit of a dilemma here. Currently we have a 1997 Alpenlite Augusta 31RL, at 32 feet oal. Yesterday, atca local RV show, we ended up signing papers and deposit for a 2016 Wildcat Maxx, model F262GRX. This was listed as a 26 foot, ir close to 27 foot rig. We are looking to downsize. Today, reading thru some spec data, we found that the Wildcat oal is 31' 3". Basically, the new "smaller" rig has the same oal as the 31 foot rig I now have. Am I gaining anything with the new trailer since we mainly like NF and state park camping. Open to any words of wisdom here. Thx

Nope. Keep the Alpenlite, you will regret anything else

The new one is nearly as long, and could even be taller. I agree with talking to dealer, to change to a smaller model, if that was your intention.

the model numbers come from walkable floor space so if you want smaller look at model numbersin the 23-25 range

I would think that if the rig was mis represented and you have not taken delivery you should be able to cancel without penalty. Time is of the essence though. Go quickly to the dealer and select a shorter unit.
