Slideout controller

I have a Coachmen 2002 5th wheel 340IKS. The controller (DN13819) is obsolete and there is no replacement for it. What I was wondering is could I use a reversible solenoid like one that works a winch ( something like a reversing solenoid contact relay 6 terminal)? I tried a different controller and it only worked for 2 trips before it went out. I am desperate and need help. Thank you in advance.

Not sure which brand controller you have on your camper, I just replaced the remote. Did you try "Gama"? They make all types of remotes for all brand campers. .... www.gamainc.com ... Just ask for customer service, and explain your situation, I'm sure they can help you out. Good Luck and Happy Camping !!!
