Slideout seal repair

Not sure if this post is in the proper place.

I have a 5er and on one of the slide outs the top seal is cracked in the corner and starting to tear. The remainder of the seal is fine, including the inner seal. Is there a way to patch this area so it won't tear further. I thought of a inner tube patch, but I want some input before I do it. The area does flex quite a bit when the slide goes in and out, so I think Eternabond Tape might be too stiff. I also thought of a silicone bead over it, but not sure.

You're inputs would be appreciated.

It is the wrong forum, but the mod will move it.

Replacement would be your best bet. Or, cutting out the torn area and as best you can, refitting a new piece. You can buy all kinds of rubber seals online. They come with glue in place and it does stick really well.

Perhaps someone will come along with something better, but tape might just be a big mess.

Does the goop bend, or is it a stiff glue. I need something that is pliable. I did look it up and there are all types.

I used GOOP to glue my top seal back on where it pulled away from the inside wall. At first I tried contact cement but no good. Goop is a handy product
