Teton 5th Wheel

Hi everybody
This is hard to explain. Sorry for my ramblings
The front landing gear (hydraulic) is completely retracted
For some unknown reason the front slide came in which
moved the ram under the bed causing a break in the hydraulic
hose fitting. This caused a hydraulic leak Not good for the carpet..
That will have to be fixed before any help could be
expected from the landing gear. In the meantime raising the front
and cribbingunder the pin box maybe in order. My front end is on the ground
Would be almost impossible to get hydraulic jacks under the frame
Any advice so appreciated
PS. We do not have a truck
Thank you. Lowell

That's crazy.

At one point, Teton was one of the most popular high-end 5th wheel brands. They made and sold a lot of them.

I helped a guy once when his one side jack failed and the front of the 5th wheel trailer nosed down. I used a 4x4 on a 5 ton floor jack and put that 4x4 right at the pin and pushed up allowing the nose to lift so we could get some other boards under the front frame work near that failed jack. He was able to then dig a hole under that failed jack to remove it and get it rebuilt. Where in Arizona are you?

Hi again
K9jadon
It is a 2007 Teton Front Royal Teton manual no help on hydraulic issues. Lippert no help either. They have no knowledge of Teton
Never heard of the brand. No override possible till hydraulic leak fixed.
JDC: I am thinking of jacking this heavyweight off it's knees.
Problem getting under towards the front as it's down to low.
I can see and have access to the frame 3 feet in front of the tires
Do you think it would lift the front ok
BTW Lippert made the ground control for it It an older system has a 15 foot pendent
It can control all 4 hydraulic jacks independently

Heavy equipment mechanics carry hydraulic hose and fittings. To raise the 5'er, you'll need a 2 ton jack and a **** load of cribbing...or, if you are lucky, a loader or excavator.

Without knowing the year of your rig it'd be hard for people to give much advice. But my experience with some 5th wheels is that there is usually a manual back up that would raise or lower your landing gear. I would look for that in your owners manual if you still have it. You may be able to call a mobile mechanic too as well if you have to.
