The affected tires may experience rapid air loss due to a rupture in the sidewall in the bead area.

REMEDY:
MNA will notify owners, and dealers will provide similar replacement tires free of charge. The recall began on August 24, 2015. Owners may contact BFGoodrich Consumer Care at 1-866-524-2638.

I had already ordered when I posted and they came in early, so I had them installed yesterday.....

The trailer is only about 10k, so hopefully I'll be ok for 6 years.

I just received my check from Michelin for yet another blown TA. This one was one of the recall replacements.

So if I'm just now purchasing BF Goodrich Commercial T/A As2 LT245/75R16/10 Tire 120R, I should be ok? I don't want to replace 8 year old XPS Ribs with new Ribs, the price is way higher now than what I paid back then.

I just lost two BFG Commercial TA's in 16 inch for belt separation. I'm just waiting for them to mention my size and I will be calling BFG.

One tire I caught before it blew, when I was making a left turn I just happened to spy the tire wobbling a bit, not normal...When I got to the campground I jacked it up and spun it and wow, you could see the underlying belt starting to separate.

The second tire blew to smithereens at 65 mph fortunately there was an extra wide shoulder and quickly pulled over before any major damage.

These tire were 4-5 years old, always covered and 303'd. 90 percent of tread left.

Ron, The 16" BFG Commercial TA have already been recalled. Check with Michelin about your build year etc. They replaced mine with XPS Michelin which were almost $650 more that the TA's. They were going to put on a different BFG but I wanted a conventional tread tire.

They had a previous recall 18-24 months ago mostly in the 16" size. They refused to warranty the ones I had. I paid for 6 tires out of my pocket.

Broken belt on one of my rear tires on my truck. They wouldn't warranty it because they said it was a road hazard. With 25,000 miles on the tires I replaced it and the other one on the rear. A few months later the recall happened but they said I had replaced the tires and no longer had them so no financial help. I had the original paperwork showing build dates and serial numbers. I had a BFG shred on my camper and 2 more with broken belts. They were not on the recall list but if you Google the correct web site in my sizes it appears that my issue was not uncommon. When I contacted BFG directly they denied any warranty because they were on my camper. Said that an LT tire is a misapplication and dangerous. :S. I am aware that there are others on this forum who have had successful adjustments on RV service-see RedRam's post above. I still have copies of the email correspondence.

The previous recall was at the end of July in 2012 and included a number of 16" LRE sizes. It was restricted to certain "born on" dates and one particular assembly line of the Birmingham plant.

Ron,BFG had a recall on the Commercial T/A A/S in size LT235/85 R16 .Shortly after I put those on my RV in 2012 I got a recall notice but I was in the process of going to Alaska but in another RV so it slipped my mind.Long story but I just called BFG about two months ago with the recall letter in hand and they still honored it.They replaced those tires at no cost to me.Give BFG a call and see what they say as it cant hurt.

*It would help to have the serial no's on your tires when you call*

Tire sizes affected are 17" and 18" which we don't use on a 5th wheel trailer but we do use on our tow vehicles.

Already posted in the tow vehicle forum.

Just FYI. I've seen several large toy haulers with 17" tires and my fifth came from the factory with 17.5" tires. Not this brand though.
