We have a Splendide combo vented bought new in 2007 and still works great. Never a problem.

Splendide stacked vented is best way to go.

We have a Whirlpool set that works great. Not sure if they make a combo unit though.

Can't recommend one brand over the other, but suggest you get the vented model of whichever you choose.
