Water rushing out when hooking up - video

2nd time since I picked up our new 2015 Jayco 5th wheel this has happened. My dealer said it was fixed but I guess not. Looks like some rust starting to show. I have sent this video to my dealer. Trying to make sure I document with pictures and video.

Anything else I should do?

I think it is a caulking issue on top of the front cap, but would be good to see a pic of the factory seam.

Sorry, I read it as going on vacation for 6 months, not a vacation that was planned six months ago:S
I'm going to echo the sentiment that this needs to be dealt with by the Manufacturer. Who knows what damage/decay/mold has been going on in there while it has been wet.
Certainly see what the dealer has to say as he has been pretty good so far, but unless he is going to pull roof and/or panels to check for damage he will NOT resolve the problem properly

mine did the same thing water poured out of the seam ander the front cap when I lifted it to hook up. I recaulked every seam up top seems to have stopped I hope

I agree with others, send it back to Jayco! Your dealer will never give you the results that the manufacturer will. Contact Jayco now with video and documentation, they should work around your schedule.

Fwiw, I speak from experience.

Not a hose. Power cord. No water has been hooked to the 5th wheel since Memorial Day weekend trip.

Not waiting 6 months. I have owned the camper for 6 months. July 1st to August 10 are our trips that we PLANNED 6 months ago. I have already talked to dealer and I am taking the unit to them July 6. They will take a look at it while I wait and document then I will leave it with them on August 10. Just need it back by Thanksgiving.

Hooking the trailer to the truck. Lifting the front jacks that is what the video is showing.

As others have said, DO NOT wait 6 months! Any consequential damage will be YOUR responsibility.

6 mo till you send it back? I see HUGE problems more on top of what you currently have my friend. Water running out from seems by itself or squeezed? NOT good! Like others have already said. What damage has already been done and MOLD!!! Contact Jayco directly, explain your problem/issue in a diplomatic way (don't get mad, raise voice etc) and about your upcoming trip. See if they can possibly offer you a sub unit or incl a stop to factory to have repaired (plan part of your 6 mo trip while there). Be flexible. If by chance that doesn't work, then either raise 7 kinds of Holy "H" w/ dealer/Jayco or get in touch w/ RV Action line (though this route may take some time for results).

Yep, fixed twice. No third strike and your out on that one. Factory fix or different trailer. Could not enjoy a vacation with that going on.

I noticed in your video that you have a hose hooked to most likely the city water connection. Was it on? If it was I would be looking for a leak in the plumbing.

It also appears to me that depending on the angle your rig is parked the water is collecting and then drains when the angle is parked.

As already stated this is a mold problem waiting to happen.

If it were me I would be telling the dealer and manufacturer they can have the rig back.

My thinking on sending it to the factory. Thing is we are starting our 6 month planned vacation(s) on Wednesday. After that it is back to the shop.
