We just noticed this obstruction in the toilet at the entrance to the black tank. What is it? It looked like algae, but is solid and attached, and will not budge. Does this belong, it is in shape of an X. I took a picture, but could not see how to attach. Thanks

You are a better man than I am if you got your wife to stick her arm down there!
Glad you figured it out.

not a post and run, but a no wifi. I tried to get my arm down the hole but I was lucky and it did not fit, so got my wife to put her arm down the hole. She found there was an elbow at the bottom that we could not see. I got a better flash light and a long stick and prodded around, and could make out the elbow. On the elbow I could make out that there were two trails of yellow adhesive that had run down and formed a large X. When you poke it with a stick, it looks and feels like a solid grid.
So, in the end, by flushing the elbow with a strong steam of water, it became more visible, and not the issue I thought it was.
Thanks to all for your imput, especially comments that it should be a straight path to the tank, and also that Keystone systems may have an elbow.

Sounds like a "knock out" that didn't get knocked out. If it was not there but now is it could have fell out of the inside of the toilet, they are hollow and open inside.

Old Biscuit gave you a link for posting pix in the second post.

The OEM tank flushing has nothing to do with the pipe from the toilet to the tank. So based on your statement you can forget that. Old Biscuit is clearly leading you in the right direction. I've found him pretty darn knowledgeable about RVs. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us, OB!!! rockin'

This is a 2011 Montana Mountaineer, it has a tank flushing system, but occasionally we use a wand from the top end to do a good flush. We have been able to get the wand down from the top, but now obstructed.
How do i attach a photo?

My last TT, Keystone Cougar had an elbow in route to the tank, many times had to use something to push toilet paper build up thru.

it could be part of the tank wash system

Easy photo posting

Nothing should be in line from toilet to tank.

Anything in line, stuck to line, hanging from line will collect 'stuff' and clog pipe
