Which awning?

I have narrowed it down to either the Dometic 8500 or 9000. The 9000 is roughly $350 more, the only major diffence I can find is the fabric and vinyl vs metal for the weather shield. The 8500 has vinyl fabric while the 9000 has acrylic fabric. Is acrylic and metal worth the extra $350?

I upgraded two years ago, I have the 8500, and added the Acrylic fabric and the metal cover.

I see you live in CA. If it sits out in the hot sun as mine does you will want the metal cover. My original awning lasted three years. This one is still like new.
