Which Hitch???

My hitch dilemma:

On order: F450 with Hitch Prep package
DRV Elite Suite, 44ft, 24,000 lbs. loaded

My research has found that to fit into the Ford’s Hitch prep package or “pucks”, and not exceed the weight limits for the hitch, I am limited to:
a. Trailer Saver (Hensley) model TSLB ($3600),
b. PullRite E Series model 1400 ($1500) or,
c. Reese 25k unit models 30871 or 30862 ($1700)

My question to this esteemed group, is the air ride system worth it?

And if not Reese or PullRite????

We'll be full timing & traveling the country..

That's an easy answer. Just look at the fore/aft footprint of the RAM OEM puck base vs the Ford. That's why the Dodge version can safely tow 5k more lbs. Sorry Ford guys, but that's just f'ing stupid. 'Bout like my '02 D'max not having an OD cutoff...

Doesn't B&W make a hitch to fit your truck?
Hensley is a well known brand but your right, they are pricy.
I use the Reese 25k also, no problems. But I don't tow your weights.
They all also have a pin weight max. At 24k you'll be right at 5k I bet. Look for both ratings.

The gooseneck version of the Andersen does support 24k GTW but the deal breaker is the pin weight limit of 4500 lbs on the andersen.

Just looking at the hitches, I would go with the Reese. It's go the rating and its a single jaw design.

thanks!

Had a Pullrite (rail) in my previous truck and a Reese (puck) in the current one. Very happy with both.

Have no experience with the air ride hitch. But it gets good reviews from those who do. I have an air ride pin box.

I think with a little searching you can do better on price.
