Full, full-timers no more . . . .

Since 2005, we've lived full-time in our RV. Yesterday, we completely emptied our storage unit and started getting big appliances and other furniture items, etc for our stick house. Following 3 winters in Mexico, one in Florida and the remainder in Texas - a winter in Canada will come as a shock. But, life goes on and with a little luck and a strong(er) Cdn. dollar - a year from now we'll continue the journey.

Hopefully, we can tow our 2006 RV (34 ft. 5th. wheel) to somewhere in Florida where we'll spend the winter months until we can no longer return to the US. Th plan is to park it there 'for good'.

We'll miss the Full-time life style, RGV and the beautiful state of Texas. Will not miss the long drives to and fro. and we figure a return trip to Canada (in case of emergency) is simpler from Fl. compared to Tx.

If you park your RV in Florida, then Amtrak has a great deal, the auto train. They load your car onto one of their rail cars and then you travel in a passenger rail car, either coach or a bedroom, complete with dining car and lounge for an overnight trip to Florida. The route is Washington DC area to Orlando area. Saves a ton of driving! Surprisingly priced.

BB, if I might be so bold how old are you? Want to know for our future planning as to when we might want to look for spot to park and not travel anymore.
