New site to connect with others

I was informed (BeckyIO's Blog) of a new site for connecting with others. RVillage.com When you check in to an RV park you can see who is there at the time...email between. It is just a way to connect. The site is new in its Beta form. I have been on it and it shows real promise.

I totally understand your concern, but my two cents about that is that I appreciate the extra security of someone having to at least join before looking all around the site and seeing where people are. You don't have to post your location, but I think that's one of the neat things about this community. Even though it hasn't been up long, I've met some neat folks that way and I'm enjoying the sense of fellowship I've found there. It has a more personal feel to it that I like.

As for the forums, they are there for every individual group, like those for special interests such as specific brand owners, activities, all kinds of stuff.

There are currently over 3,800 members and I'm shocked at how fast it's growing. I know a few of the people involved in the startup and have great respect for them.

I have no personal interest in the site other than as a member, so just wanted to share my perspective. 🙂

Where do you get this information? I could not actually find a forum and I can't find any information on how many have recently joined. Could you point me to something I can use as reference? I can't even take a look around without joining (as far as I can tell) and that's always a non-starter for me. I don't like sites that farm an e-mail address before I get a chance to make an informed decision.

I joined them last week. The forum is growing very fast. It looks to become a very popular place. It has a change location button you hit when you get to a campsite and will show if there are any other campers from the forum. A great way to meet people

Moving around does not give you an opportunity to be meet and really get to know or become friends. I am looking right now at rigs, we say hi talk a little but really don't connect. I wonder if Open Roads forum would mind if we used their name to start a group?

I registered there a few days ago and have started two groups. 😉 Looks like it will be a handy tool to help RVers connect with like minded travelers.
