Walmart Camping

I was just told by a camp host today that if you camp overnight at a Walmart you should not put your jacks out or your slides out. She said it was abusing the privilege of the free camping. We have always called ahead and made sure it was ok but always put out our slides. I would appreciate any input since I don’t want to be inconsiderate.

Welcome to the forum. You’ve opened a touchy subject. The Wal Mart parking lot is not a campground.

No nothing but staying to get some rest and move on would be best but that's my opinion.

I would agree with the camp host. No jacks especially in the hot summer, no slides unless perhaps the slide extends over a unused section of grass
