When Do You Leave Arizona in the Spring ?

I've only been fulltiming since the end of last year, which I spent in Florida. This year, I'm thinking of spending the coming winter in Arizona, possibly the Phoenix area.

I've visited Arizona but have never stayed more then a few days so I don't know when the temps start getting really warm in the spring. So my question is - when does everyone leave Arizona in the spring ? 1 March ? 1 April ?? 1 May ???

Especially interested in those who've stayed in the Phoenix area.

When does it start getting hot ? I don't want to pre-pay for a month if all I'm going to do is sit there and cook !

Also - I'm targeting 1 November as an arrival date. Does that sound like a good date ?

Thanks much,

Tim

I've been in Lake Havasu City since November, and May is about it. Monsoon season starts in June and that means you get high humidity + high temps.

Well, it was 100 degrees here in April this year. Most snowbirds leave mid- end of March. Some years, it hits 100 for a couple weeks in March then " cools down " into mid 80's to 90's. November is warm during the day and cool at night.
We will be hitting the road and outta here to begin full timer life next March, no later. All done with the heat!

I would stay at least through May. May is one of the greatest months in AZ ever. All the snowbirds are gone and the weather is nearly perfect. We have spent much time in AZ and May is one of my favorites. After that? Run, Forrest, Run!
What I post is my 2 cents and nothing more. Please don't read anything into my post that's not there. If you disagree, that's OK.
Can't we all just get along?
