We are new to RV'ing, and this is my first post on the subject. We are in the process of building a house, and have decided to live out of a 5th-wheel full-time while we build. Which leads me to my question....
We have a temporary power pole that currently does not have a 30 amp TT outlet. I also need to build a shed where we would like to store some of our belongings, but also house our washer and dryer. My thought is to replace the panel on the power pole with a GE 100amp RV panel that has a 50amp, 30amp, and 20amp outlet already installed. The 30amp would be used for the RV, and the 20amp for everyday outside stuff.
However, I would like to repurpose the 50 amp to act as a breaker to a sub-panel in the shed. I would run #4 cable from the 50 amp double-pole breaker to a sub-panel in the shed, and then wire in a double-pole 30 amp breaker for the dryer to run, and a 20 amp breaker for the washer. Does anyone see any issues with doing this? Is there anything I'm missing in pursuing this thought....?? Thanks in advance for any guidance anyone can provide.
