We have a 2006 Itaska we purchased new, and it had this protective
film on the front of the bus. It is now cracking and we need to
know how to remove this so it will look better. Please help.
have talked to detailers, and this could get really expensive.

Park the coach so the sun heats the front. Get some plastic razor blades, some mineral spirits and some laquer thinner. Using the blades, get an edge lifted then slowly pull at a slight angle. It may come off in small pieces. Soak the adhesive that will be left with mineral spirits, scrape the goo, repeat. Finish cleaning up with the laquer thinner. Wax, polish the paint when done.
It may take hours and it will be a lot of work. I removed mine while staying in Myrtle Beach. Worked on it 3 hours each morning over a few days.
Some folks got a steamer and said that worked well. I tried the heat gun but it did not work any better than letting the sun heat the film.
I tried Goof Off and Goo Gone and it did not removed the adhesive as well as the mineral spirits and laquer thinner.

Ours has the same film and it's getting there.. if/ when I remove it I'll likely be using a heat gun like others have done in the past. Even if I have to have it repainted, that's several hours of removal labor saved

We have met someone else with that 3M stuff on it and he has tried many things. They are all very labor intensive. I did just read about a company in FL that will remove it, but don't have the name and they didn't mention the cost. If I run across the name, I'll come back and post unless someone else has the information.

We purchased a 2006 Itaska new, and it had the protective film
on the front of the bus to help protect from bugs & etc.
The film is now cracking and looks like a screen, we cannot find
any information about removing this material. Have talked to detailers, and seems this can get real expensive. Please help.
