1996 Winnebago Relay

I am having a hard time finding how to start a new topic.
I'll see if this works.
October 15, 2020 while traveling US 129 (I think) suddenly smoke boiled out from my 1996 Winnebago Adventurer P30 chassis (Chevrolet) dash. I pulled to the side of the road quickly and raised the dash (instrument panel) to see heavy smoke coming from the relays and wiring. Then it happened. An explosion, luckily I had closed the dash.
After an hour, I was on the road again.
Looking into the wiring from the top underneath the dash there are 2 relays and a bigger flat plug. The left relay burned to ash and burned a hole in the right one.
Can someone please get me a number for the relay on the left since mine is burned up?
Thank you for the help.

Chances are the relay is the same as the one next to it.

That rules out those relays.

On the Winnebago drawing 118003 Detail T shows two relays that power the slide outs. Does your slides work?
Relay part number is Winnebago part 63912-00-000
My rig does not have any relays as yours. mine is little older and does not have slides.

I will see what I can find in my rig. Sounds like the two larger reds are power and the two smaller are control.

Sorry, I was thinking P-30 and said Ford. Drawing I sent was for P-30.
What color were the wires going to the relay?

enblethen, My rig is a P30 Chevrolet. The relay is square and looks like the one on the site you posted. There is no possible way my relay could be working. It is ash. The coil which was inside is even melted.
I feel pretty blessed I got the fire extinguished. I cut the 4 wires from the relay end and capped them. I had to tape up several wires which had the insulation melted from them. I had to remove the melted plastic conduit before I could work on the wires. The AC duct is burned for maybe 14".
Thank you for the help.

I did not find much for relays. Is the item round or square/ Could it be a flasher?

The Winnebago drawings are for what they installed and not what came from Ford.

1995 Brave, I went to the website. But I can't determine a relay.
Thanks for the try.

K Charles was making reference to the date, October 15, 2020.
The step should have two power sources. One motor power and one control, both normally fed from the 12 volt battery control center. Some rigs have a switch on the dash or by the door to override the operation.
The same relay is used for other functions, but is the same configuration. I would go through all aspects of your chassis operation. It is possible even though it is melted it could still be working.

enblethen, yes it does. However my instruments work. The only thing I have noticed not working are the steps. They extended and haven't moved any more.

K Charles,I have no idea what you mean.
