Hello all. Working on a 1999 Gulfstream Sun Voyager and I am in need of replacement headlight assemblies. I was told that most RVs use lights out of other production vehicles, but I cant seem to find which ones the Sun Voyager used. Might any of you brilliant minded folk know?
Well I contacted Gulf Stream and gave them the VIN. RayChez you are right most of the '99 Sun Voyagers did use the '94-'95 Taurus. There were some that used a different lamp and you have to call a company direct to order them.
I have a early 2003 (January manufacture) Gulfstream Ultra Supream. (so possibly used left over 2002 parts) The headlight retainer ring fell apart and I needed a replacement. I did find it on internet after searching (1997 Lincoln town car headlight assembly). I wanted to confirm so called Gulfstream (leave message they will call back) was told they dont use ford headlights but a headlight supplier. They looked up the part number for me and what do you know 1997 Lincoln town car. Have your vin number and coach number handy for them they can tell you anything you want to know about your coach. They were very friendly.
Ps, you had to buy entire headlight assembly to get retainer ring from ford dealer or any parts store, so got "HELP" part off rack at auto part store(NAPA) for 4 bucks.
I believe the Voyager of that year used the Ford Taurus head lights. But like somebody else suggested, go to the Gulf Stream Forum. Lot of valuable information there from Voyager owners that could help you more then this forum. www.gsowners.com
Looks as if Gulfstream only manufactures towables now, however they may have information on class A coach parts in their archives. If all else fails you might try giving them a call.
Good luck and let us know how you make out...
