It is the 6.75" that are OK for the 255/80, but really too small for the 275/70 tires.
Are you sure Brett?
My wheels are Accuride and are stamped with "8.25" x 22.5" and, the coach was outfitted with 255 80R 22.5" from the factory.

What he is saying is the 6.75" wheel is too small/narrow for 275/70s.
Some rims are simply too narrow for some tires.
Technically the 255/80 specs say it's approved for 7.5" & 8.25" wide wheels.
When we were up sizing our tires we couldn't go with 295/80s as they were rated too wide for our wheels. We ended up with 11R/22.5s as they were the same height and approved for our wheels.

If front and rear wheels are the same size (they commonly ARE), look at one of the back outside wheels. That is where the size and PN are normally stamped.
You could also find out from your chassis maker and/or coach maker.

If considering the 275/70, be sure to check your WHEEL SIZE. If 6.75" which is OK with the 255/80, please verify with the tire manufacturer that you are OK with that wheel size on the 275/70.
Good to know I do not how wide mine are yet. Thanks.
