40 Ft. Motor home with 22ft. trailer (Camp Rules)

Hello and brand new to forum, my wife and I are considering a large class A with 10k tow capacity to tow a 20 to 22 ft. enclosed car trailer. The trailer will have an air conditioner and will be my garage/man cave. When staying in a park, I will always need a pull though and will be staying in most parks over 30 days. I would prefer to keep the trailer hooked up to the MH and use the man cave trailer to putter around watch TV or even make quite adjustments to my sports car. How hard will it be to find a long term stay with this size of rig always coupled together and will most parks frown on this set up because I am running some electricity to the garage trailer? Will they look at this as two RV. Units? I know I will have to make some amperage adjustments like not running three AC units and other appliances. The trailer will be paint matched and the RV. will be around 8 years old.

RV Park Reviews usually tells which RV parks have pull thru sites and what the length is. This is a place to start. IF the power in your trailer is fed through the SINGLE 50 amp hook-up with your coach I would not expect a problem. If you have to plug in the trailer separately than you may have to pay extra. As mentioned, just be sure to tell the park owner what you need. With the car out of the trailer you are either going to need a very very long space or a space that is wide enough for you to park the car next to the trailer. Some parks that I have been to have parking up front for visitors and you may be able to use that for your car if it will not fit on the site with your coach.

Some RV parks yes and some no. All depends on the size of the park.
Cedar Cove in Elephant Butte, NM has long sites and can accommodate.
Monthly's usually pay elec based on meter usage.

I have often thought it would be great to have a B van towing a small TT and wondered the same thing, not overall length of two rVs. would parks question that?

I've seen several rigs pulling big attached trailers at campgrounds all over the country.
Must be OK as they are out there in numbers.

Thanks Bill,I would not be against parking my sports car somewhere else in the park during the day but would pull it in the trailer at night.

You could run into space problems after you pull the sports car out of the trailer. You'll just have to be explicitly clear with the person you make the reservations with about what your needs are. We often request a pull through. Sometimes there would have been problems with the three rigs and other times it wouldn't have been a problem.
