"markortega".....It can be cleaned, but takes some work. Your radiator and charge air cooler (CAC - cools turbo air) are sandwiched together, one in front of the other. The hard part is they're only about 3"-4" apart and hard to clean. You can clean the front of one and the rear of the other, but in between them is where the dirt builds up.
I'm guessing you have to lift a cover under your bed to access your engine and radiator. Get a flashlight and look between the units. It will probably look like hair is growing in there. You may also find debris like newspaper and leaves. Use some of those long push button fingers (Home Depot - Harbor Freight) to pull the trash out.
Start by using some Dawn soap and soak EVERYWHERE you can reach. A garden pump sprayer with a long wand works best. Hook a garden hose to your hot water heater drain and use that with a spray attachment to spray all the fins.
For my brother-in-laws coach we made a tool out of 3/4" pvc pipe. We took about a 30" length and capped one end. Just above the cap we drilled 3-4 small 1/8" holes in a row along the length of the pipe about a 1/4" apart. We glued a pvc hose fitting on the other end. We made something similar to one of the toilet flushers.
With the hot water hooked up, we worked between the radiator and CAC with the homemade pipe. These are hard to get clean, so I would soap, rinse and soap again, giving it some time to soak in and then rinse again. This should solve your heating issues.
It's not a hard job, just a dirty/messy one.
Lastly, a lot of this gunk was caused by what they call a blow by hose that routes engine oily blow by onto the radiator and CAC. If it hasn't already been done, you need to reroute this hose or run it into some type of catch can. If you do a search you'll find a ton of ideas on what to do with the hose.
