Anti Freeze Type

I recently bought a 2004 Holiday Rambler Pusher with the Cummings Diesel 300 HP engine. What type of anti-freeze needs to go in there? I have heard that a diesel engine for this type of coach requires a type that is different from autos and light trucks. Also, maybe there is a substitute type that will work as well. Thanks for any info you might have on this.

Which 300 HP Cummins do you have. If it is a B series it is a bored engine and needs no special water treatment with the anti freeze. If it is a lined engine you will need different coolant with SCAs (Supplemental Coolant Additives).

Perhaps you could find an owner's manual online for your 'Cummings'

I would contact either the chassis mfgr or Cummins.
