Atwood Excalibur XT furnace

I would like to know if anyone has changed out the furnace for one of the new 2 speed ones.

Will be watching this post closely as sooner or later ours will need changing. We have been full timing for over 10 years in this rig and sooner or later they will pack it in. When they do we would also like to swap them out for the dual speed units. I have listened to them run on low speed and they are very quiet.

If you do, you have to replace the wall tstat also, with the one designed for the 2 speed furnace. It is NOT new, it has been out for years. Due to cost, very few OEM's use it. It is usually on the higher end 5th wheels. Since you can only use the Atwood wall tstat, that means in most applications you would not have 1 tstat for Furnace and AC operation, but 2 wall tstats.
