Awning issue

Has anyone had a electric awning that will not extend? Mine will unroll but not extend unless you pull on the arm.

On our carefree on our fifthwheel, if the awning slid down the tube just a bit (wind), it would roll up with the arms not truly square and they would stick when trying to unroll to the point I had to tug on the arm. I just wrestled that awning and tube to realign it. It only took a fraction of an inch.

Typically they just extend out. What is it getting stuck on? Is there any parts that need some wd-40?
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.

Does it have pneumatic helper arms (gas shocks)? If so, that could be it.

The motor end bushing is exposed to the weather and sometimes it will rust from inaction....Need to be lubed with Blaster if that is the case.

Mine was similar and the issue was the Monaco and CareLess wiring. Of course there can be other issues.

What model awning, rig, etc?

Just a thought but is your battery fully charged?

Next maybe your arms are binding up. Try some silicone lubricant and see if it helps.

Motor just may be going bad !!! Expensive !

I think gravity does the extending. Is your coach upside down?
