Back-up Camera upgrade

The old B&W CRT backup monitor and camera just didn't work well on this, new to me, 1998 Dolphin. I purchased a new Rupse system,

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B006TAOH9K/ref=oh_details_o02_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1,

with a wireless camera and 7" LCD monitor.

Installation was fairly easy however the problem of supplying 12v to the camera stumped me momentarily until realized that the original camera was supplied by the monitor. 12V goes into the old monitor and loops out via wiring to the rear camera. I figured all I had to do was bare the wires, attaching the 12V source to the new Monitor and the original cable then attaching the camera to the original cable at the rear end. This does work but I'm getting what I thought was ignition noise, but the noise is still there without the engine running, just the key in the "run" position. I swapped the larger antenna for the new monitor and put it on the camera. The kit came with an antenna intended to be mounted outside (magnet mount) with a long cable. This I attached to the monitor. That seemed to affect the severity, but certainly didn't eliminate it. Any ideas before I search for an installer that can help?

Thanks In Advance

Mike

did you try it prior to installing it. Also make sure that no lights are on inside the RV. Just sounds like a power filter is needed but you need to run straight from the battery first to ensure it not the unit.
