I received my 4ucam wireless colour camera 2 days ago. The camera is about 1"square, 3" long with a little antenna, swivel magnet mount. The monitor is just a big bigger than a pack of 25 cigarettes and about as thick. Has video and usb output along with an SD card slot and both run on rechargeable LiIon batteries. 2 chargers are provided, AC and 12V DC. Works like a charm, paid about $110. It even takes video onto SD card so you can see how you crashed when backing up :E You can even add more cameras to the same monitor, it's 4 channel.

Its amazing how a topic of rear view cameras turns
into one on plastic lens.

One of the neat things about a Fresnel lens is that the back window that it is on can be covered with rain and you can't see threw it, but you can see threw the Fresnel just fine.

I have the same one, it works great. Nice color screen, infra red for night time and can expand to 3 cameras later if you desire.

This is the one we bought: Fresnel Lens on Amazon

And they are applied using water or windex, same method as some window tint or screen protector films.
Cheers!

Do you have a back window? We were all hot and heavy to get a rearview camera and decided to get a Fresnel lens for the rear window to use while we researched...this thing is like magic and we scratched a camera off our list. Of course ignore this suggestion if you don't have a rear window in line of sight of the rearview mirror.

2x I hear ya! I bought a rear camera thinking I was going to need it but with the Fresnel lens I didn't need it. If you can use a Fresnel lens!!

I have a rear view camera that was installed by the dealer where I bought my 'C'. I also have a freznel lens on the back window that I use for checking rear traffic. The rear view camera isn't remotely movable and is aimed at the hookup point for my Jeep Toad. But that's OK. Its nice to check every so often to be sure its still there. ๐Ÿ™‚

We did the same. Maybe the best thing we've done. But most don't have the window to see out of.
Currently RV-less but not done yet.
