Banks Power Pack / Torque Tyube headers noise

I know in the past, on other vehicles, whenever I switched from manifolds to headers the noise from the engine bay increased in the cab. I would be interested to hear from anyone out there currently running a set of banks headers whether they experienced an increase in noise or not. Trying to sell the wife on a few upgrades to improve performance in the mountains but if cabin noise goes up then the odds having a happy wife post upgrade goes down exponentially.

I put a set of long tube Heddmans on my 1983 and I don't notice an increase in engine noise.

In the past I've used Jet Hot or HPC coatings on the headers to cut the heat. The coatings are nice if you're a DIY type too. I've saved many a knuckle from scalding in emergencies when I'm missing my gloves.

Heat is the biggest problem in a class C with headers. Need good insulation to keep the feet from boiling.

Yes they add some noise but it sounds more like air rushing. The muffler adds more exhaust noise. Worth it in my opinion. There are some good sound reduction methods (coatings and insulation) that can help too if it turns out to be much.
