Bike rack question

We are looking for a bike rack to go on the back of our Winnebago Vista. Prefer one where the wheels fit in a set of holders. Ones that I've looked at are 10 to 12" from center of hitch pin to center of first wheel holder. After measuring out bikes it appears that the handle bars need to be loosened and turned so they don't hit the rear. Has any one else had this issue? If so, how did you handle it. Thanks.

We use a hitch extension and it works well.

Move the rack farther from the coach with a straight hitch extension. 1Up USA makes the best (and coolest) bike rack, the tires fit onto a tray and clamps swing up. Available for 4 bikes. Made in Wisconsin.

Look into Hollywood racks. They are configurable endlessly. I have mine set up for one trike and one standard, and I still can re-configure for other setups. Visit your local bike shop to get to correct pieces.

Are they straight bars? If so, cut them. A 20 inch straight bar is plenty and more arrow dynamic. I prefer 18s. PS I’ve yet to see a quality bicycle on the back of a TT, 5er or MH.

You can't stagger the bikes (forward/backward/forward) so they fit?
