Glad it was somewhat of an easy fix!

If there is a converter in the rear, yes.

ProblemS fixed.
Tracing wires back from lights looking for broken wires, I lost tail lights. Starting with first splice I found, after unwrapping came upon feed for taillights loose in bundle. Re-wrapped and taillights good. Checked brake wire splice and it was good. Moved 2 feet to next splice and wiggling the wires, brake lights came on. Unwrapped and same as othe splice, loose feed. Pulled all splices at the back end and redid. All lights work now.

Thanks for the help along the way, helped rule things out!

I wonder if the coach manufacturer installed a two to three converter. It would normally be located in the rear of the rig. Sometimes under and sometimes in the right rear tailight void.

Just to rehash, if I have a separate bulb for brake lights, would the wire run through the directional switch anyway and bypass that connection?

I'll check that today. I pulled the LR light assembly to start a wire trace. Thanks for the info in this.

I did not find any wiring diagrams for a P-30 that has separate brake and turn signals.

I have been referencing GM chassis. I will be able to look up wiring for other chassis brands.

P30 chassis.

Fords appear to have a separate fuse. Fuse F2-11.

Power is feed (power) to the brake switch and the hazard flasher on orange wires. Splice shows being on the hazard flasher base.
Purple wire shows as being the power feed (power) to the direction switch.
Dark green is going to the is going to the right rear brake/turn lamp
yellow goes to the left brake and turn.
The blues, light and dark goes to the front. I think I said those went to the rear, I erred.
The directional switches acts as an isolator so the front turn signals don't come on with the brake light switch.

I may not have mentioned but my brake lights are not with the turn signals. They have their own bulb and separate lens. Can I for simplicity cut wire after switch and run new wires to the back lights. Or splice and run.

From the brake light switch, power goes to the Direction switch on the white wire going up the steering column.
It goes to a common point for both wires going to the rear of the rig. Light blue goes to the left light and dark blue goes to right.
I would say the Direction switch could be suspect.

There is a white wire on the harness and two orange. The white has a splice that goes to the trailer brake controller. The white and the two orange go about 18" and disappear into a larger group of wires from numerous directions.
On the column, I find a strand of wires together, white, green, purple, lt blue, dk blue, yellow, etc. Is this the wire you are referring to? I'm slightly confused.... if I have voltage at the switch, is it coming down the white wire from the column or coming from the two orange wires? If the white is hot then the switch in the column shouldn't be an issue, and if the current is going the other way, why would it go through the column?
Not doubting you just trying to understand the engineering.

Much appreciated!
