Brazel's Ultrapower. Was I supposed to notice anything?

Purchased the Ultrapower programming for our F53 Ford V10 (2000 model chassis)
Trying it out for the first time. Drove over 900 miles. Been on this same route many times. Wasn't I supposed to notice something? Anything? Maybe it didn't 'take'?
It's Saturday so I can't really talk to anyone yet at Brazel's but, I will be calling Monday.
The engine sounds the same, shifts the same, and yes it (on edit: Downshifts) goes into overdrive at the slightest incline just as before. Can't determine any change whatsoever. Help because my WIFE is asking me what I paid for? :h

Yes you are right, but I would think the OP could feel 40-55 added HP if the tune took. Seems like others that posted noticed it right away.

How much HP was the tune suppose to give you? From their ad it looks like 40-55 hp which would be very noticeable. I would get a base line of your performance now from 40-60 mph at WOT and then test again after the tune, this way you can see the actual gain in performance. Most of us don't have access to a dyno. Does your engine have any other performance mods like headers or previous ECM mods?

We do not have any other performance mods other than the Ultratune. I asked Brazel's if the Ultratune was going to be applicable without having other items such as Banks mods. They assured me that it would be a noticeable performance difference even without Banks. I have no way to measure any gains unless their ODB connector gizmo can tell me. As I stated earlier, PERHAPS there is technically a gain in performance by the numbers, but nothing that I can tell by driving it so far. I was hoping that it would not need to downshift at the slightest overpass inclines, but it still does. Just calling it for what it is right now. We can't tell any difference at all. But YES BRAZELS HAS BEEN VERY NICE AND HELPFUL.
I was maybe not clear on how to measure gains, but all you have to do is measure the time it takes to go from 40 to 60 MPH with your foot to the floor. Do that now to establish a base line then after the tune. If you make any other mods like headers, advanced timing etc you can see what each what the performance increase is from each one. I am guessing you would see about a 4 sec reduction off your time if you are getting a 40 HP increase. A dyno will measure the HP increase but this will measure your actual performance increase. Good Luck and I hope you see something better.

We reloaded the tune yesterday. Brazel's has been very helpful and has been very attentive even on this holiday weekend. After re-loading the tune, there still seems to be no noticeable difference in the way the engine performs. Brazel's will send me a new tune tomorrow via email and we will try again. Perhaps it is improved technically, but I just cannot say that I can notice any difference.
Sorry I was not meaning to complain about Brazel's, because I'm not. I've purchased several aftermarket products from them and they have been great to work with. That's why I went with Brazel's because of previous experience. I'm sure that 5-star is great as well, but I just got started with Brazel's, so that's how I selected them for the tuning product.

Love the comments from those that wouldn't know the difference between a key-stroke and and oar-stroke. Brazels even on the weekend responded almost immediately on another forum. You did not get the load completed for one reason or another, not blaming just a fact, it happens. I have the 5 star in mine and it makes a big change and yours is very similar.

The Ultratune works well on the Fords. My neighbor runs it on his and sees quite an improvement in power shifting characteristics. I think it didn't load or glitched. Give Brazell's a chance to work through it with you.

Great idea! Shouldn't cost more that $5 -$8 grand...... Helpful comments please, the tune should work. Wait till Tuesday and give them a call, may be something minor.

Sorry, RGAT, the physiological feel of more power after spending a bunch of money and time I will not buy. Smoke...mirrors.

That is exactly why I received PHYSICAL readouts that showed an increase in HP and torque. I realize that some people, who do not understand modern computer controlled engines, will not accept the reality of "real time data", but it is what it is, not smoke and mirrors.
Have you ever heard of an engine dyno???
