So maybe we'll trade our travel trailer for a 1998 29' Class A Thor Majestic Flyer 29Q. As I research, it seems this is a Four Winds? Thor makes Four Winds? And apparently the Four Winds Majestic Flyer also comes in a Class C? Looks like the engine is a Chevy 454. Yeah I know, mileage, but... maybe the price is right?

Who can tell me about this coach?

The Chevy set up is great and the transmission much better than the Fords. They have a Vortec engine which as two header pipes and cat convertors and then a Y pipe. They run cool and have some issues like needing new suspension bushings as the rubber that they came with rots. Go to neoprene in all area. Front has coil springs with air bags that again come in rubber and need to be replaced if not done already with non rubber bags. Tires should be less than 7 years old and RV rated, and are about $350 each. The rubber membrane roof is rated 10 years and it needs replacement it cost $135 per linear foot. Go to 20 year sprayed on roof for same price. The 4 speed transmission is fully locked in 4th and will not lock if temperature sensor is bad. Also it has sensor for oil pressure that shuts down fuel as does the crankshaft sensor if bad reading happens due to mal function. All in all it's the best gas Rv. Check all other house equipment proper function and inside roof for signs of leaks. Probably a $10 - $20 K unit depending on condition.
