Calling all Road Warrior owners - RWS, RWT, RWM

Owners of Road Warrior Super C's have been posting on other threads and a few have mentioned it would be nice to have a place where owners of these units could post with other Road Warrior owners. Well - this is a start.

I'm Bob Smith. My wife, Debra, and I own a 2009 RWS3400 sitting on the usual C5500 chassis with the Duramax LMM and Alison Transmission. We hale from Billerica, MA. We purchased our unit from it's original owners in AZ back in September of 2010. After searching for this exact unit for a while, we got lucky and found a pristine rig from a family who took great care of it. They just didn't use it as much as they would have liked to and still had a TT they could use to go camping. So their decision to sell was great for us. With only 6000 miles on the clock and the like new condition, it was a great day for us to get this Warrior after months of research.

We've had a few minor issues, nothing that I couldn't handle, that made it a shame to think that attention to detail just wasn't a priority during the build. So, thats something we can all help each other out with. The minor wiring issues I've dealt with were all a matter of plugs being put into the wrong jacks (audio/video). Some simple additions to make the audio system more practical for MP3 or portable Sat radio use are items I can share with you. When i get the rig back in the spring I'll take some photos of the added jack for aux input on the house radio.

I say when we get it back because we currently have it resting at a center to have the interior seating redone. Out with the U shaped seating and in with the traditional drop down table with benches. It'll be more convenient for us as we have 4 kids and making that table another sleeping area will help. Also out with the J sofa and in with a Jackknife. Again, ease of use and larger sleeping area the concern there.

We also talked about adding an electrical outlet at the table. There's always a need to plug in a laptop or charges while sitting there.

There are more things we're looking at doing but the list is too long and we're not sure if it'll be cost prohibitive. So we'll wait a bit to mention them.

So - who are ya - where are ya - what have you found with your unit that may be an issue.

I know most are probably located more to the west. But let's see.

Thanks for info everyone on the bathroom fan it really helped, I was able to climb on top and found the plunger on the corner, driver side, hinge side of vent cover. I used a 3/8 wrench and pulled up on the electric wire and cleaned the plunger and sprayed it with silicone spray it was corroded. This info might help others my fan was stock and is 5/07 Model # B8100 Create-A-Breeze made by Fan-Tastic vent it was bought out by Dometic (800)521-0298. Plunger part # K1122-05. Bathroom fan: Thanks for the help on my fan the dome switch plunger was found on the top driver side On the hinge side. I removed the dome switch plunger 3/8 " combination and cleaned & sprayed it with silicone as suggested. Works great, hardest part was climbing on top, I'm getting to old for that, my wife was more worried that I was going through.
My fan was 2007 model B8100 create-a-breeze made by Fan-Tastic Vent, now Domestic. The plunger is K1122-05 . Phone # 800-521-0298

To connect the new TV to the stereo, I ordered Prozor Digital Analog Converter (DAC) from Amazon. Connect the DAC to the optical audio out (TOSLINK).

Remove the auxillary adapter from the stereo cables. Connect the stereo cables to the LR ports on the DAC. Turn on the DAC, select TOSLINK as the input. Turn on the Sony stereo by the door and repeatedly press the source button until you find which one plays through the speakers. Ours works on CD2.

Hope this helps. Glad to answer any questions.

I can't help you, but that's interesting. My fan stopped working today. It isn't a plunger, it is a switch, but this fan may not be original to the MH.

My bath fan quit working a while ago and I removed the inner trim and found that the wiring was very loosely connectted wire nuts the came apart. you might want to do the same .
The people who wired our motorhome together did a really bad job. I found several other electrical wiring issues like the electric transfer switchโ€ฆ.,the stereo wires was loose, etc.

Checking to see if anyone had worked on their bathroom fan ? My fan stopped working, in believe there's a little plunger that works with the vent door opening that pops up allowing the fan to work. I'm trying to find the plunger?

the stock sway bar is just as massive as the roadmaster so I think Iโ€™m gonna try without it for a while and see if adding just the front sway bar helps.

My rig is supposedly a 2009 34 RWM.
I found this in another forum
โ€œโ€From what I understand if you have the rivets the fuel tank has to be dropped in order to drill out the rivets otherwise you can't get a drill in there. If I had the rivets I would pay to have it done. Grinding off the heads, drilling out the rest and dropping the tank is not a job for us old guys. Also I think the idea is to have both sway bars to increase performance. If you could replace the stock one with the Roadmaster I don't think you would gain anything. The stock bar on my rig looks pretty heavy duty.โ€โ€
