Camera or monitor

I have a 2006 vacationer. My weldex camera system is the 3 camera system. The 2 side cameras work ok, but the rear camera will fade in and out and back in, or will get lines in it. If you have the night vision on it sometimes gets so dark you can hardly see the car I'm towing. I am wondering if it is the camera or monitor that is screwing up?

I'm hoping someone on here knows how to fix this problem.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Just had the same problem with my Holiday Rambler Admiral 2006. It turned out to be the connection at the rear camera to the cable running to the monitor. Cleaned it and applied some contact seal/lubricant and all is good. The camera had about a two foot lead on it before the threaded connection, it was inside the rear wall and I just had to pull it out to expose it. You can remove the camera and plug it into the back of the monitor to test it.

It appears that the camera is going bad. Mine had similar symptoms. I sent the camera to RV Cams. They confirmed the camera was bad and offered solutions. In my case, I bought a new camera.
