I've been looking for a campground that can handle big rigs near my sister in Morristown NJ. Can't seem to find anything within many miles. Any suggestions. Thanks

I have stayed in the Fla-Net RV park in Flanders, NJ. It's near full all the time with local workers in 5th wheels and travel trailers. Most of the sites are 30 amp. They have 7 or 8 long pull through sites and maybe a dozen long back in sites with 50 amp service. They are kid and dog friendly.

The location and landscape are pretty and the owners, who live almost on site, work very hard to keep up with the place. It's clean, the power is fairly reliable, and the water is good. The sites are firm, level, and grassy. There is a picnic table and a small fence at each site. Some sites have fire rings, some sites have trees. There are several ponds and large grassy areas with plenty of shade along the sides.

It's VERY close to any kind of shopping or services you could ask for, even within walking distance. Their "swimming pool" is a very large cement wading pool. Only toddlers can actually swim in it

The owners are very nice people, though Terry (the man) is very gruff and sounds like he's grouchy - he's not - that's just his voice.

They truly have the market cornered in that area. There is just no place else to go, but they don't take advantage of you because of it.

I'm not crazy about it because the sites are quite close together (but not so close that it interferes with your slides)and I'm not crazy about New Jersey. However, the fact that the grandchildren live in Budd Lake overrides my likes and dislikes.

Unfortunately, I'm pretty sure that's as close as you can get to Morristown.

The same situation I was in just a few weeks back...There is a place called Fla-Net in Flanders NJ...they have some sites with 50 amp service and full hookups...never stayed there..but it is just a hop-skip (about 20 miles or less) down route 80 to 287 and Morristown.....there is also a place off Route 78 called Jugtown Mountain Campsites...no sewer, just dump station(and a ***** to get to as well)..they have some 50 amp sites and the rest 30 amp sites...one of the worst maintained places I've been at but it is near DW's sister and that's why I stayed there.....NJ is the most RV unfriendly and pet unfriendly state there is......

The only nice Campground I know is in Sussex NJ and there should also be one near Newton NJ but I have no feedback on the condition or what they have to offer.
