Class A on a Budget for Full Timer

Hi everyone,

So we are new to the RV world (no pun intended). We have a B Touring Cruiser which we love. After one year we have decided- we want to be full-timers. But the B+ is a bit small. Our B Touring is probably worth about $26k and would love to buy something in the 30's. So what recommendations for used Class A on a budget? I would be interested in your experience with your MH - what has worked and what has not. What specific models do you like or not like. Older diesel vs newer gas with slide outs? It is just my wife and I. Thanks so very much, Reggie

Newer ones don't have the heat issues as the older ones did and the noise issue is a easy fix with sound proofing material that the gas motorhomes don't have when they leave the factory.

A 38 or 40 footer would be better for full timing.
Might have to rethink your budget.
Gas units are adequate but diesels are quieter and offer better ride.

Diesels mostly in the rear.
Call me if you wish.

26K wont buy much if your going to be a full timer, you will be upgrading that real soon as well, might as well and move your budget up to $65,000 if you want something nice with 2 slides, older is not always better, finance might also be your best bet, 2 1/2 years ago it cost me $70,000 for a 5 year old class A with 2 slides and a full body paint.

Mine is 33 foot long with 2 slides and even that seems small as time goes on but I don't full time..

Reggie, a budget of $26,000 is going to put you in an old diesel coach (late '90's). Nothing wrong with that but a coach in that age range will need a lot of maintenance and/or items are coming to their life's end (TV's, hot water tank, other appliances, etc.). The airbags and other suspension components may need replacement.

If that is your budget, a gas coach will put you in the 2005-2007 range.

Good luck,
MM.
