Dash Gauges and Lights

I put the batteries in my MoHo today, a 2006 Damon Astoria on a Freightliner Chassis. When I went to start it, all the warning lights on the dash came on, but no alarms. It started, but the lights did not go out, the gauges and tach aren't working. I let it run for a while, and restarted it a couple of times, but the lights would never go out, and the gauges never worked. Anybody got any suggestions on what I might try?

Jagtech: I thought of that late last night myself. tried it this morning and did no good.

Crassier: No, I do not have a OBD ll scanner.

fcooper: Freightliner thinks it's the MMC Module from the description I gave them. I'll have to take it in for them to look at it. I asked if it could be driven, and the said yes, that it would run fine.

Thanks for the tips and aqdive everyone.

Have the last 6 digits of your vin number available and call the Freightliner help desk. It's a free service and they are helpful. 1 800 FTL HELP

They have helped me several times.

Just a wild guess - disconnect the battery again for about 60 seconds, to reset the computer. Reconnect and retry. Probably not that, but it happens like that on my Grand Cherokee sometimes.

This is a great idea. Sort of sounds like a weak ground too... Probably from the battery but could be elsewhere.

Do you have an OBD II scanner?
4 whopping cylinders on Toyota RV's. Talk about great getting good MPG. Also I have a very light foot on the pedal. I followed some MPG advice on Livingpress.com and I now get 22 MPG! Not bad for a home on wheels.
