Do non-Leaking Valve Extenders Exist

I have had two different brands of extenders put on the rig (one each last time the tires were changed) and they have both leaked. I call the service center and they just say "some of them leak a bit, just keep the tire aired up". No duh! Wishing I didn't have to use the new extenders quite so often....

Thanks, Jim

X2 for the ones from Alcoa, that's what I have with no problems.

Alcoa Wheel carries good quality solid extensions in various lengths for different size wheels ranging from 19.5" to 24.5" wheels. They come with stabilizers. Never had any problems with the ones I've used. http://www.alcoa.com/alcoawheels/north_america/en/info_page/accessories_hd_valve_stem_ext_stabilizer...

3 RV's with valve extenders and none leaked. Tighten a little more than finger tight. Make sure they are installed so they don't flop around when on the road. Using non-flexible stems to match your needs helps. Using flow through caps makes it easy checking and adding air, even on the inside duals.

"Dually stems"? They're actually longer stems installed in the wheel they stick through the second wheel and have a lug hoop anchor on them?

I may try the locktite approach. Thanks.

On my first MOHO (Winne Vectra) I purchased some stainless steel braided ones at NAPA and they didn't leak the four years we owned the rig. Good luck.

I had some braided ones that did not leak but always worried about them. Finally broke down and bought some $120.00 dually stems no worries since. If you want to keep the extension type try a drop of blue lock tight on each one.
