I am getting a new carburetor for this motorhome. I replaced the wires and the spark plugs and repaired a wire going from the alternator to that regulator and it isn't stalling anymore. My questions are. is this engine an electric choke or mechanical? there is a wire that goes into a block that is right next to the carburetor that goes to that alternator wiring that I mentioned. What is that for? I am thinking of getting an Edelbrock replacement that is brand new. Any advice? I cleaned all the fuel lines and replaced the electric fuel pump and filters. also my Genset won't start and I have no ignition. thanks for the help.

I had a old 79 Dodge class c with a 440, it doesn't matter what the old carb had for choke just get a new one that has the electric choke and run a new wire if it does not have one, its a easy fix, you can tell a manual choke by a small linkage that goes from manifold to carb that has a metal sprail attached to linkage.

Yes that Edelbrock is a good carb.
