Interested in the Dynamax Rev 24RB, but test drove the 24TB which had been sitting on dealer lot since spring. When we started to drive, substantial amount of water poured out of the headliner above and behind the passenger and driver seats and from the rear view mirror area. Has anybody had this issue or any other negative issue with the Rev? Thanks

Brenda,

My wife and I own the REV 24TB. As with any motor home there will be some problems, but we have had a great experience to date.

I did have some minor water leakage (not as bad as what you described). However, I know what caused it. It was simply that they used silicone to seal the joint between the roof and the front and rear fiberglass caps. The problem is that it is a rubber roof, and silicone should not be used for that. I had my local guy reseal it with lap sealant (on the roof side, both front and rear) and it has been bone dry since then.

We did have a few other minor problems, but nothing major. We have taken it out 32 times since we purchased it in May. We take it for day trips all the time. We take it to local parks, to the lake, and on antiquing trips. And we have camped in it a total of 15 days. It has been great!

I'm not sure about the 24RB, but the mattresses in the 24TB were not suitable for our needs. Not surprising, given the low price we paid for the REV. Our dealer had custom made mattresses manufactured for us, which are wonderful.

We get about 13.5 mpg so far, which is pretty nice considering much of our travel is through the Blue Ridge mountains. Other positive aspects include the ride - it is much better than any other class C we tried (probably because it is built on the front-wheel drive Pro Master chassis). And the fact that it has 6 airbags is a plus on the safety side. Downsides include the small interior space of the 24TB (which is the trade off for having such great beds). And somebody on this forum pointed out that the front-wheel drive might not be as good as rear-wheel drive in certain conditions (but I have not experienced any trouble with it at all).

Overall I would give it very high marks. It fits our needs exactly: A low-priced motor home that is small enough to drive on a regular basis yet big enough (just!!!) for the two of us. If that describes your needs then you might enjoy it as well.

The Rev is like the Winnebago Trend -- a class "C" on the Ducato/ProMaster chassis. I'd probably check the "C" forum, as they might have better expertise.

I would say to consider a Winnebago Trend or Itasca Viva. I've heard quite good things about those units.

Definitely a Class B and labeled as such by the mfr. You'd probably get more answers on the Class C Forum. That said, I'd run, not walk, away from that unit! Who knows what else could be wrong?

that would make me question the quality of the build ( they use a rubber roof don;t they?)...and the quality of the dealer..they don;t take care of stuff on the lot?

If you live in Vancouver, most years you need a very good roof.
