F53 warranty problems

I have a 2013 Winnebago Vista 35f with a noisy ring and pinion and a transmission that leaks. The local Ford dealer stopped working on motorhomes in January. I called the Ford Motorhome hot line and they has a Customer Service rep Carl call me. He tried to have a local repair shop make repairs and bill the Group One Ford dealer. The Ford dealer refused to do this because they have several like claims with Ford and have not been paid. Carl said my only option is to drive over 300 miles to Oklahoma City for repairs. This is not acceptable. Anyone have any ideas how to resolve this. My coach has 13000 miles and is three years old. The warranty is 5ys or 60000 mi.

It can be hard to find a dealer that can handle "Super Duty" or "Heavy Duty" work. Heck, my neighbor works at a local blue oval dealer and I tried to schedule some work at the dealer and specifically request him since he doesn't make money unless he is turning wrenches. The service adviser that answered the phone told me they could not handle my 32' Class C motorhome on a Ford Chassis. I even remarked that they had a commercial on TV about their new service bays that could handle big rigs/trucks. He told me no. I told the neighbor, he spoke with them and got it straightened out. Bottom line....it is hard to find facilities to work on these things, more so when the facility does not know they can handle the unit. Conversely, I had a buddy talk to a service manager at a small dealerhip who told him if it didn't fit in the bays they would work on it in the parking lot.....I told him to patronize that dealer as they seem to want to please the customer. We are currently hagglin over a Winny 35F on an F53 chassis.....One of the things in my mind is who/where can I get this thing worked on if/when it needs a wrench turned......

I think I would keep calling Ford until they figure it out....

My 2006 Ford F53 chassis had a 3 year warranty. At 3.5 years and 17,800 miles my engine started knocking. A ford dealer said that I needed a new engine. Make sure you get it fixed while you are still under warranty.

When new, I had a Ford chassis problem. The Ford truck dealer gave me a diagnosis I could not accept. It just didn't ring true. I took the motorhome to a private car/truck repair shop. When I gave them the written Ford diagnosis, they actually laughed. They fixed that problem for a reasonable price and I've been going back there ever since with any motorhome (chassis_) problems and also my car and pickup too.
Yes: I had to pay even tho i was under a warranty. But...the problem got fixed. So...my advise is that you might find a good truck repair shop. Someone you have confidence in is worth a buncha' bucks.....

Sorry to hear about your problem, but frankly, the problem you describe is not unusual.

First, I find it difficult to believe that Ford would have outstanding payments due to a dealer for an extended period of time if that dealer had done everything required of them to get payment made to them. I have been in the business for over 40 years and normally, when you see a problem like this, if you trace it back you will find that someone dropped the ball in their warranty submission.

As for getting service, all I guess I can say is join the club. You think getting service on your Ford chassis is difficult? At least in their service network, they service all parts of the chassis and drive-train. Try a diesel chassis, where you might have to visit an Allison shop, a Cummins shop or a representative of the chassis manufacturer itself for all of the different components. The nearest service centers from where we live are well in excess of 200 miles each way. Get to drive the coach to them, leave it for repair, drive home and then go back and pick it up when it is finished, hoping that they actually fixed the problem. Sorry, but just the way it works.
