FR Sunseeker 2250LE motorhome opinions?

Recently, an acquaintance of mine has a Sunseeker 2250LE (on the Ford E-350 chassis) that he might sell.

Has anyone had any experience with this? The floorplan is fairly unique. It has a queen bed on a small side slide, and the fact that the mattress is in two pieces may or may not be an issue.

I wonder how much outside storage this unit has as well. However, for one person, it seems decent, and unique having a permanent bed for its size.

Thanks. I am going from a bare-bones (but decent) TT. I might look at a 2290S, once they actually start hitting dealerships. It is basically a Sunseeker 2300, 25 feet long, but has a dinette slide.

From what I can see and from what I've read over the past few months, the LE's are more 'rental grade' equipped units. Missing many things that may not seem like a big deal now, but may very well end up bugging you to no end after a year's worth of ownership.

If you can step up to the regular Sunseeker, you'll probably be happier. If you plan on keeping it awhile.

Your observations are similar to mine. I mainly want to keep the rig as short as possible (can't go over 26 feet, and over 25 is iffish) and still have a bed for a relative that is easy for her to get into (I can sleep on a cabover, no problems, but she has knee issues, so a permanent bed is a must.)

A spare tire, I can attach on the bumper. Most of the other missing items I can get retrofitted or not worry about. The biggest downside to me about the LE models is the lack of heated/enclosed tanks. Texas has very random weather in the winter, and it might be 70 degrees at noon, then you can get three days of below freezing weather -- enough to cause pipes and tanks to crack unless some heating is done on them. Maybe that can be added on.

My main concern is storage, especially outside storage (so I can bring along a few lawn chairs, a storage tent, and a place for sewer items).

Wish I can see the rig personally, but the guy is in Europe for the next few months so no go there.

We were going to buy one but opted for the no slide 2300 instead. They have virtually the same room inside. The 2250 LE will most likely be missing a few things, with the exact list depending on the model year.

So that said, it's a nice unit. I laid on the split bed and would be okay with it. You'd have to at least partially re-make it everytime, obviously.

To me it would come down to price.
