Furnace black smoke

Hi All,
Hoping I can get some furnace help. With searching I had no luck.... When I run my furnace I get stinky dark smoke. Here's the weird part. I pulled it out and bought the proper connectors and hooked it up to my car and a propane tank and it ran fine. My fridge and stove work well. Do I have an issue with my propane regulator on my RV though? I don't understand why the furnace runs dirty in the RV.

Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!!

OR a rusted/damaged burner or perhaps a mud dubber has set up housekeeping.

Either will disrupt the fuel/air mixture, same as improper propane pressure.

Yeah, I went through all that, even replacing the burner components. It's got to be the propane regulator....
Thanks for the feedback!

Quick test:
If you light your stove , observe the flame as you turn on the water heater. If the stove’s flame diminishes as the WH fires up, i would suspect the LP regulator.

Will do, funny how the fridge and cook top work fine though. Im guessing im not getting enough gas pressure to the furnace but who knows.... Thanks for the info!

I would check the regulator output for 11" WC.

Can I check on my own or do I need to take it to a shop?
Thanks!

I've cleaned everything, intake and exhaust so I think I have that area covered. Thanks for the ideas though.

Would this be caused by air fuel mixture?

Maybe, but it runs fine outside the RV.
