Good or bad...Falken tires?

I got a price quote on 6 new 22.5 tires today. Falken tires(which I had never heard of)were the least expensive. Toyos were about $500 more than the Falkens, and Michelins were $2000 more than the Falkens.

Is anyone running Falken tires? Are they a good riding tire? Any problems with them?
Any information on them is appreciated...Don

My brother is at the lake and he can flatten a right tire for just a good reason Don But my friend after the big blow out on the Michelin tried firestone tires on his heavy 40 ft Bluebird and said the best tires he has ever had. Hotjag is at the same lake as my brother so not being mean just teasing him. chevman

Hey Larry, I talked with your brother last night. He thought the "just because" was a really good reason...haha. I thought maybe I was missing a hidden reasoning. I don't want Michelin's, especially since they are over $2000 more for 6 tires.

Here where I live...12R x 22.5 Mich's were.....$905 PER TIRE.....you can guess what I told them. I settled on Firestone s at $515 per tire...M&B

So far, no one on here has actually ran the 22.5 Falkens, but I agree about Les Schwab standing behind their product. I'm thinking that I will spend the extra $500 and get the Toyos. I had them on my previous motorhome and I liked the way they rode and fairly quiet noise level.

Hopefully someone else can give a first hand experience with the Falkens.
Just want you to know I ran 22.5 Toyos on my Peterbuilt one year before I retired and, I liked them. The trucking company I worked for mostly bought Michelins XZE's for all there trucks.

I've heard of Falken tires on auto's but, never heard of them making a 22.5" big truck tire.

The quotes I received were at a Les Schwab tire store in WA, so I would assume that all Les Schwab stores are selling them.
Since, Les Schwab is selling those 22.5 Falken Tires, I wouldn't have fear of running them. My tire guy is at Les Schwab in Port Orchard and he has never steered me wrong and Les Schwab is known to stand behind all there products. Let us know how those tires work out later on down the road.

Than Firestone was blamed for several deaths in early 2000's pickups and SUV.
I got one of those tires on spare with my pickup and when I put it into service, the whole thread made road gator, taking the mudflap on the flatbed and bending the 3" exhaust.
Even reputable manufacturers do have ops, so don't buy tires by manufacturer >>> buy them by recommended model.

Can you give me some reasons for this comment?
I think you should wait for a Mother Falken reply. After all, she knows her Falken children better than anyone else.

It's a Japanese tire. Never heard of it but I like Japanese cars, wonder if their tires are as good as their cars.

Bridgestone is a Japanese-owned tire company too, with manufacturing plants in the US.....there's one about 3 miles from my house.
