Good or bad...Falken tires?

I got a price quote on 6 new 22.5 tires today. Falken tires(which I had never heard of)were the least expensive. Toyos were about $500 more than the Falkens, and Michelins were $2000 more than the Falkens.

Is anyone running Falken tires? Are they a good riding tire? Any problems with them?
Any information on them is appreciated...Don

The quotes I received were at a Les Schwab tire store in WA, so I would assume that all Les Schwab stores are selling them.

I still would recommend Michelin tires thru FMCA. check it out. well worth the dues for FMCA, not to list the other benefits. There has been a lot of comments about Hancock tires on this site. I have had very bad luck with them. I will stay with Michelin.

read the warranty. Tires in US are tested by government agency before allowed on the market, so it is not like buying RV with no safety rating.
Years ago when old Hancock blow on my dually pickup, I bought couple of cheap Sailung tires, not having much hopes for them, but it was work flatbed so I took the risk.
The tires in 19.5 size lasted honest 56,000 miles before I had to replace them.
I think they were also quieter than Hancock but with Ford 7.3 you did not hear tire noise no matter what.
Falken is well know in car performance tires for years, but new on 22.5 market.
So one more time - read the warranty and see if the tires do have posted thread and temperature ratings.

Like some of the others, I have two year old Falkens on my Jeep. They are holding up well and I like them (reasonable traction, low highway noise, etc). When I purchased mine, I did some research and found positive reviews. However; no experience with their 22.5's.

I have a set of Falken tires on our 5th wheel and they have been great for the last 5 years. They were recomended by Discount Tire in my area by the manager he is a good friend of mine so I trust his judgement.

I've heard of Falken tires on auto's but, never heard of them making a 22.5" big truck tire.

Facts

It's a Japanese tire. Never heard of it but I like Japanese cars, wonder if their tires are as good as their cars.

I have a set of them on my '95 Powerstroke (aka snow vehicle). I have had them for three years and honestly just looked at them today and thought about how good they were lasting. That is in a 16" size though. So far I am very impressed with them, including snow and ice traction.
They are so good I thought of putting them on my 5er, but I think they are a little too tall.
YMMV.

It seems to me that there would be a market niche for RV tires that are not prone to blowouts, inexpensive, and not necessarily high mileage. Some Rvers put on high miles, but, as people here say, RV tires are more likely to age out than wear out.

I didn't realize that they made them in that size. I have only known about the car/truck version of the tires. Those don't last long. They have a short mileage life. I haven't seen any tire manufacturing concerns that would lead to a safety issue. As I said, I am only speaking for the smaller tires.
