Ditto on aluminum. You have to clean all the old sealant off well, there are probably multiple layers that are cracked and lifting.
Dicor self leveling is a good choice to use on horizontal surfaces. It flows filling voids and leaves a smoother surface surface that won't hold water. Plus it holds up better than a lot of caulk that begins to crack after a few years.
