How to drive a MotorHome video?

Hi Folks,

Do you know of any good videos on "How to drive a motorhome"? I know there is nothing like "doing" but I'd not mind a little heads up on some of the more obvious things or piloting a 40 to 45 ft motorhome.

Thanks,

Harry

Often does not work with cars either, You put on your turn signal they speed up to get next to you.. OFTEN (unless it is an exit onto another freeway) you can simply go up, over and back down. Done that a few times.. But, it is important to know your way around.. Cause sometimes it's another freeway.

Fun fact: In about a month I will be driving a path I've not, yet, driven in the MH, My daughter was concerned about turns and such....

Well.. When she got her Master's sheepskin.. i drove most all this same path in my car.. The difference,, at one point I turned to get to the college,, I go straight to get to the campground, which is on that road.

Foodsman: Here's the real deal.

Say your driving along a multi-lane road and find you are in the mandatory exit lane but you don't want to get off at that exit, now what??

Simply put on your left turn signal, count to ten, then slowly ease into the through lane. You are so much bigger, you will be let in the left lane.

You're welcome, Kerry

PS: this really may not work well with tractor trailers, they can get ugly fast.

This video may save your life

Believe it.

In addition.... I strongly suggest finding a place you can practice a bit, My choice would be a shopping mall after hours.. That way you have very little to hit other than the brakes. You can practice backing into a site by using a few dunce caps (Traffic cones) that do not mind being run over if you wish.

Truly though, other than it is BIG and I mean BIG not a lot of difference between driving a class A and a Ford Escort.

This video talks you through controlling an RV in a tire blow out. I found it quite interesting and the instructions counter to your natural instincts.

Thank you all for your help. I found the videos from Lazy-Days especially helpful and easy to follow, so my thanks to all of you.

"How to Drive Your RV Like a Pro" by RVeducation101.com....Can get a download or DVD. You can probably get a great price on eBay for a used DVD. Great video. Same information as the driver confidence videos on Youtube but you won't need an internet connection to view. Every time I watch it, I see things that I do wrong or that DW does wrong. My day doesn't go so well if I inform her of those though.....
